Strip poker has been part of computer gaming since the early days of the PC, bringing together the thrill of a wager and the fun of a flirt. After years of clumsy online games and dialers, we wanted to give it a fresh start. That's how Torquemada Games' Video Strip Poker began.
Advances in multimedia made it possible to combine poker AI with high-quality, interactive video. We spent hours filming with professional digital video cameras and built a system that responds to each hand. Your opponent picks up and discards cards, smiles, winks and changes outfits as the game unfolds. Each woman has her own playing style: bold or cautious, clever or impulsive, ready to bluff or happy to play it straight. No two hands feel quite the same.
The original game includes five opponents, with more available to install. Our VSP file format brings together sound, music, voices, video and each opponent's personality, giving us room to keep adding new rivals.
You don't need years of poker experience to get started. During beta testing, even people who had never played a computer game picked it up in a few hours. After a few days of practice, they could beat an opponent in an hour or less.
